Welcome

Welcome to our classroom site! I thought it would be a great idea to create a blog for our classroom website! I enjoy blogging and think this is going to be an excellent way for us to all stay connected and share with you what your children are doing in the classroom!

I know for some parents, this is your child's first experience in school and I feel it's very important for you to know what your child does each day! This will be a great way to share that information with you in addition to your child's daily communication in their F.I.S.H folder! And a great way to share photos of your child in action at school!

Please add this site to your favorites and remember to check back often for new posts and updates. I will keep an up to date event calendar available under the monthly calendar tab, and this will be a great quick resource for you if you cannot find your Welcome Packet!

Make sure you sign the permission form for photos of your child to be posted on this blog. If you choose to not have photos of your child posted, their face will be blurred/blocked from any posted photo! (This form will be available at open house on August 29, 2011 or sent home if you do not attend open house)

Thanks for stopping by and I am SO EXCITED for the new school year! We're going to have lots of fun!

A little more about Miss Blecki...
I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I am dually certified to teach general education and special education. Currently I am working on a Masters degree in Exceptional Children and Youth with a focus area in Severe Disabilities and Autism.
This will be my second year teaching and I absolutely love it at Morris!. I first entered Morris in March of 2010 as a student teacher with the Early Development Program. 3's and 4's are my favorite age group to work with, so I was beyond thrilled when I was offered a teaching position in the 4-year old program. On top of it all, I've had the wonderful experience of working with students who I had student teaching for a second time, and I love it!
I've very passionate about special education and have a strong drive to help my students succeed by meeting their goals, make extraordinary gains and be prepared for whatever their future may hold.
Please take a look at the different tabs on the top of the page to find out more about our classroom and what we are currently learning about!
